Imagine how happy your ice hockey or ice skating fan will be with their very own backyard ice rink from Arctic Ice. These backyard ice rink kits work in areas that will allow the ice to freeze, so if you are in warmer climates, then unfortunately this is not for you.
Before purchasing an Arctic Ice backyard ice rink kit - which contains everything you need to build your rink, you should be aware that they work best on fairly level areas so that the ice can freeze evenly. If you are on a slope we do not recommend you purchse this product. In our experience it has taken an average of 1-4 hours to set up one of our rinks, and be sure to not install the liner until the weather is at the freezing point. You can set up the frame at any time, but to keep the liner safe from damage, we do not recommend installing it until it is ready to be filled.
The ice should be a minimum of 2" thick for the ice to stay solid and to hold up to 300 pounds. How long this takes to freeze will depend on how cold your area is. COlder temperatures can take as little as 2 days - warmer temperatures can take up to 5 days.
All of this information and more will be supplied with every purchase!
